The Vyne's roof restoration in 360
Our first ever 360 film footage from The Vyne’s roof shows the immense scale of the £5.4m conservation project to save it. Get get a bird’s eye view of the contractors at work and spot some of our visitors on the new, all-access walkway. Look down on dramatic views of The Vyne’s rooftops – a scene which changes daily as the tiles are removed, exposing the ancient timber skeleton above historic interiors like the 16th century oak gallery. Shot in Samsung Gear 360 and stitched using our own workflow this video shows the maximum capabilities of this tiny sensors shooting at night. The best experience you can get from this footage is with the original file played on a Samsung Gear VR. Viewed online there is compression artifacts degradation but reasonably good on youtube or omnivirt. Even with the gopro vr player it looks pretty good. Human Robotics Lab - 124B
The Human Robotics Lab at the University of Delaware develops robotic devices for physical interaction with humans and pursues their application in motion augmentation, rehabilitation and as advanced tools to study movement neuromechanics. Room 124B is used for the fabrication and testing of human-interacting robots. Two systems are currently being tested: the UDiffWrist, a lightweight cable-driven wrist exoskeleton used for robot-aided rehabilitation of fine motor skills, and the EMG-controlled ball and beam, a system used for teaching neuromuscular interfaces and nonlinear controls in the class Biomechatronics (BMEG467/667).
