Human Robotics Lab - 124
The Human Robotics Lab at the University of Delaware develops robotic devices for physical interaction with humans and pursues their application in motion augmentation, rehabilitation and as advanced tools to study movement neuromechanics. Room 124 is used for experiments on human robot interaction. Two exoskeletal robots are currently used: the ALEX-II, a treadmill based leg exoskeleton for gait training, and the MR-SoftWrist, an MR-compatible wrist robot for experiments on the control of wrist movements during functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

To speak with Tai, Rainn and Brooke is to understand optimism and dedication. To watch them compete is to witness grace and determination. For these reasons, and for their accomplishments on the track, the Sheppard sisters are the SportsKids of the Year. Life hasn’t been easy for the Sheppard sisters. Their mother Handy works hard to support the family, but they have lived in a two-bedroom unit in a homeless shelter since last September.
