How to turn a 2D picture into a 3D picture

1. Choose a 2D image from your camera roll.

2. Generate a Depth Map.

You can either upload your own depth map, or OmniVirt’s tool will use AI to generate one for you. Just be sure to select what the image is about in the drop-down menu. If you’d like to make your own depth map but aren’t sure how to do it–check out this step-by-step tutorial.

3. Preview your 3D Picture

Now that you’ve created your depth map, you can preview your 3D picture. Note that your 3D picture might look a bit different once you upload it to Facebook because the OmniVirt website uses a different renderer, but this will still give you a good idea.
